According to some inside sources, the 2022 installment of COD will be a sequel of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which was released in 2019.

Though there is no official confirmation from the developers as there is still a lot of time for the game to release, the news does make sense in many aspects.

On October 9th, 2021, a Twitter user took to his account to make a tweet regarding the upcoming installment of COD. According to the user, the upcoming 2022 installment of the Call of Duty series will have number 2 in its name. As the game is predicted to be the sequel to the earlier 2019 release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the name makes sense.

In the tweet that the user made regarding the inside news, he posted he gave a list of probable names that can be used for the game.

The user also penned that he is sure about this information and can confirm that the artwork for the 2022 COD Installment is all done, and it is amazing as always.

He previously in the post wrote that he can confirm the name of the game is going to be the same as he mentioned, but later he changed that statement about the name of the 2022 installment, as nothing can be confirmed as, during the development process, many things can change which might affect the naming. According to him, the artwork looks amazing.

Having the release of the 2022 installment a year away, it is pretty early to say anything about the game, but the speculations and fan theories are being discussed every day.

Call of Duty: Vanguard

With the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard a month away, people are getting excited with the insights of the plans regarding the 2022 installment. In Call of Duty season, six is going on, which will be live until the next season goes live. It is expected that the season will go live around December 2nd, 2021Season 7 is decided to be released in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Amidst the chaos of the game’s expected release, the developer, Infinity Ward, has announced that the company is establishing its new office in Austin, Texas, expanding its presence before the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard. Also, the developers are also wrapping up the current project to start the final lap of work for the development of the 2022 COD release.

The game is going to be available on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, PlayStation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Playstation portable, Playstation vita, Xbox, Xbox series X, and Xbox series S. The Call of Duty: Vanguard is most probably going to be released after November 5th as it is still in the testing process and is being done with the last works before the release.

With the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date soon, many insights will arise regarding the 2022 installment, so it is better to wait and catch up with time.

How does that make any sense… There is ALREADY a CoD game named Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2! This is the dumbest idea ever…

I know right! I just hope the game is good and we get to play the insane 10th release of the infamous COD franchise. Although this doesn’t guarantee that the game will be named “Modern Warfare II”, the names can change anytime during development. Let’s hope for the best.
